I’ve been through quite a lot in my life. I’ve experienced cloudy days when I desired sunshine, allowed the negativity of others to delay my goals, and remained shut in a box although I desired freedom. This new year is all about change for me. I am saying goodbye to depression and fear. The bitter chains of procrastination and doubt will no longer keep me at bay from achieving the countless sea of possibilities out there for me.
Yesterday I read a Jewish Proverb that states, “What you are is God’s gift to you, what you make of yourself is your gift to God.” I love this quote because it gives me an extra push to do what I have to do in order to achieve my dreams. We all have a divine purpose in life, whether it is to teach, preach the word of God, help those in need or countless other objectives.
I’ve been blessed to have found a plethora of divine purposes early in life. Since I am aware of the goals I have to achieve, I must strive to remain motivated and encouraged. With hard work and determination, my dreams are only a few steps away from being achieved!
